Setting up a V Rising server

Join your server

The first start downloads V Rising from Steam, so it takes a few minutes. Watch the Console tab. When it stops scrolling, your server is ready.

In the game, choose Play, then Online Play, and search for your name.

Change these on the Startup tab, then restart.

Setting	What it does
Server Name	The name in the list.
Server Password	Empty for public.
Max Connected Users	How many can join.
Game Settings Preset	Like `StandardPvP` or `StandardPvE`.

Add your Steam ID64 to save-data/Settings/adminlist.txt and restart. In game, press ~ and type adminauth.

For fine control, clear the preset and edit save-data/Settings/ServerGameSettings.json.

Not in the list

Give it time after the first start.

Settings do nothing

A preset wins over the file. Some settings only apply to new worlds.

adminauth does not work

Check your Steam ID64 in adminlist.txt and restart.
