Setting up a Satisfactory server

Add and claim it

The first start downloads Satisfactory from Steam, so it takes a few minutes. Watch the Console tab. When it stops scrolling, your server is ready.

  1. In the game, open Server Manager and click Add Server.
  2. Enter your address and port.
  3. Name it and set an Admin Password. This claims it.
Claim it straight away

Until you do, anyone with the address could claim it.

Start a world

In Server Manager, use Create Game, or upload a save from %localappdata%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames under Manage Saves.

Problems

Server Manager cannot connect

Wait until the console says it is ready.

Someone claimed my server

Open a ticket and we will reset it.

Lag with a big factory

Lower the players or move up a plan.
