Setting up a Necesse server

Join your server

Necesse starts in a minute or two. In the game, choose Multiplayer, then Join server. The address and port are at the top of your server page in the panel.

The basic settings

Save NameThe world to load.
Server PasswordEmpty for no password.
Player SlotsHow many can join.
Steam Auto UpdateSet to 1.
Turn on auto update

It starts off. Without it, players are locked out after a game update.

Bring your own world

  1. Find your world zip in %appdata%\Necesse\saves.
  2. Upload it to saves in the File Manager.
  3. Set Save Name to its name without .zip.

Be the owner

Problems

Version mismatch

Turn on Steam Auto Update and restart.

My world did not load

Save Name must match the zip name.

Commands do not work

Give yourself permissions first.
