Setting up a Don't Starve Together server

Get a server token

  1. Go to accounts.klei.com, then Games, then Game Servers.
  2. Add a server for Don't Starve Together and copy the token.
  3. Paste it into Server Token on the Startup tab and restart.

Join your server

In the game, choose Browse Games and search for your name.

The basic settings

SettingWhat it does
Cluster NameThe name in the list.
Game modesurvival, endless or wilderness.
Max PlayersHow many can join.
Auto-update serverSet to 1.

For a join password, set cluster_password in DoNotStarveTogether/config/server/cluster.ini.

Be an admin

Create adminlist.txt in config/server with your Klei ID (starts with KU_). Restart.

Problems

The token is invalid

Copy the whole token, with no spaces.

Different version message

Set Auto-update server to 1 and restart.

The caves do not work

Check the console for errors from the Caves world.
