Setting up a Barotrauma server
Join your server
The first start downloads Barotrauma from Steam, so it takes a few minutes. Watch the Console tab. When it stops scrolling, your server is ready.
In the game, choose Join Server and use Direct Join. The address and port are at the top of your server page in the panel.
The settings
Stop the server and edit serversettings.xml in the File Manager.

| name | The server name. |
| password | Empty for no password. |
| public | true to list it. |
| maxplayers | How many can join. |
Be an admin
While connected, type this in the Console:
giverank YourName admin
Mods
Copy mod folders from your game's LocalMods folder to the server's LocalMods folder. Players get them when they join.
Problems
It is not in the list
Set public to true and restart.
Players get a mod mismatch
Everyone needs the same mod versions as the server.
My settings reset
Stop the server before editing.
